Hope Anderson

My name is Hope Anderson, and I am an English teacher at Leake Central High School in Carthage, MS. I have been teaching for 16 years. I spent twelve years teaching eighth grade reading and language arts. The last four years have been spent in my current position, teaching high school Juniors the wonderful world of American Literature. I have a bachelor’s degree in English Education from Delta State University. I have been a Beta club sponsor on the junior and senior levels for a total of ten years. I also founded a rewards and recognition program in our school that we like to call S.W.A.M.P. which stands for stop waiting and make progress.

I am married to my college sweetheart (who is also a teacher) and we have one daughter who is just like us, she likes to stay busy and try everything. She and I are involved in girl scouts and karate, and are going to begin piano lessons together soon. The three of us also enjoy traveling together and are always up for an adventure, whether as a family or with our students.
