My name is Alicia Beasley, and I am a 5th grade language arts teacher at Leake Central Elementary in Carthage, MS. I have taught elementary for 16 years, worked at Mississippi Public Broadcasting as an Educational Specialist for 1 year, and have facilitated several online professional development courses. I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Mississippi State University in 1999 and my Master’s Degree in Educational Technology from Belhaven University in 2016.
Currently, I am working on my Specialist Degree in Educational Technology from Walden University. Working at Mississippi Public Broadcasting with their online professional development program sparked my interest in educational technology. Students enjoy using technology so I have found many ways to integrate it into my classroom. Technology is not going away, so I want to help students use it responsibly and benefit from it.
